The Viterbo Student Government Association has been hard at work making positive changes for the university while also running an election schoolwide. Electing new candidates for next year’s staff on the SGA, students choose peers who they thought would help represent our school and student body and best represent their voices.
The university sent out a nomination form on March 24, 2025, allowing all students to nominate themselves or someone they believed would be a good fit for the open positions. The voting form opened on March 31 to all students and closed that Friday, April 4. Every class has four senators, and a president and vice president are elected. Students also vote on roles such as representatives for the different schools at Viterbo, secretary, public relations, and financial management. After the form was sent out, the university tallied the votes and elected their new staff for the 2025-2026 school year. They are as follows:

Although the SGA has nominated senators, they are always welcoming new ideas and guests in their meetings. Former vice president and newly elected President Connor Martin shares that “SGA is always looking for new members throughout the school year. Anybody can attend any meeting and come and discuss what needs to be talked about at the end of our meetings. We have a time called student voices where we just address different concerns, and I think it is so valuable to get feedback from a variety of students. Your voice matters and we want to hear it!”
Whether you would like to request a new beverage in the POD or more storage in the communal bathrooms, Viterbo SGA is open to hearing your thoughts. This year, SGA has been working to improve the Student Port space in Marian Hall as well as creating a rotary tree at the La Crosse Rotary Lights this year.
